Free Family Day: Indigenous Arts and Culture

Join us for Free Family Day inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center on Our September event invites families to explore the rich traditions, stories, and artistic expressions of Indigenous cultures through hands-on art activities designed for all ages. Guests will learn about Indigenous materials, symbols, and techniques while creating their own inspired artworks. Admission is free, all are welcome, and all materials are provided.

At 1 PM, Tonetta Lone Elk, a Northern Cheyenne Native American and Ventura County educator, will lead a book reading and hands-on activity that explores pictographs and the visual storytelling traditions of her ancestors.
